This guide summarises what you must do to stay on the free CERN-OHL-W-2.0 path for Replicant GEN 1 CAD and related materials published on this site. It is a practical overview — it does not replace the license text or legal advice.

Who should read this​

  • Anyone downloading design files from CAD Downloads
  • Anyone modifying CAD and distributing those modifications or shipping products based on modified licensed design
  • Anyone mixing open files with proprietary add-ons in a distribution

If you cannot meet these obligations, the commercial fallback on the License page applies — review the fee table there and contact business@yirrasystems.com early.

Core obligations (summary)​

  1. Preserve notices — Keep copyright, licence, and documentation notices that ship with the files.
  2. Source for modifications — If you distribute modified CAD or products based on modified licensed design, make the corresponding source available under CERN-OHL-W-2.0 on the same terms.
  3. Attribution — Credit Yirra Systems / Replicant GEN 1 as the upstream when you redistribute.
  4. Licence notice — Make it clear recipients get the same licence (CERN-OHL-W-2.0) for the licensed portions.
  5. No extra legal restrictions — Do not impose terms that contradict the open licence on those materials.
  6. Document changes — Clearly describe what you changed and where to find your source.

Self reporting and evidence​

Use the Three doors page (evidence wizard) to submit evidence of conformance (screenshots, URLs, publication dates, etc.). You will receive a CMP- reference and we will respond within 10 business days where review is needed.
